Mr. MacRae, originally from Niagara Falls, Ontario, joined DBD Investment Bank in 2024 after earning a degree in Economics from Harvard University.
Prior to joining DBD Investment Bank, Mr. MacRae was a dedicated member of the Harvard Varsity Lightweight Rowing Team (HVL). During his senior year, he played a pivotal role in leading the team to an undefeated season and securing the national championship. This success marked the team's most successful season in history. His exceptional performance on the team earned him the title of 2024’s College Lightweight Rowing Comeback Athlete of the Year, an honor recognizing his achievement in winning a national championship after taking the previous season off due to a shoulder injury.
Mr. MacRae's accomplishments at Harvard extended beyond athletics. He also managed a student-led investment fund and a venture capital group.
Prior to DBD Investment Bank, Mr. MacRae gained valuable industry experience at the Environmental Financial Consulting Group (EFCG) as a Mergers and Acquisitions Intern specializing in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sectors, as well as at Jarislowsky Fraser, a global investment management division of Scotiabank.
An accomplished rower, Mr. MacRae also has a lifelong passion for hockey. He grew up playing the sport and continued to compete at Harvard on the Men’s Club Ice Hockey Team. A devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Buffalo Bills, Mr. MacRae enjoys following both sports in his free time.
